Landscape Design & Installation for the Las Vegas Valley
A landscape built for Ohio doesn't survive Henderson, Summerlin, or the east valley. Our soil out here is rocky, alkaline, and drains fast in some spots while sitting hard-packed in others, which means design starts with what's actually under the surface, not a stock plant list. We factor in SNWA watering rules, HOA plant palettes, and full-sun exposure that most nurseries never account for, so what goes in the ground the first time is what's still thriving in five years.
Las Vegas asks a lot of a yard: 115-degree summer afternoons, cold snaps in January, monsoon downpours that can dump an inch of rain in twenty minutes, and long stretches of drought in between. A design that only looks good on the day it's installed isn't a design, it's a photo op. What plants actually survive a Las Vegas summer?
Desert-adapted and native species (think agave, red yucca, desert marigold, mesquite, and palo verde) handle the heat and alkaline soil without constant babying. We design around plants proven for this valley, not generic desert stock that struggles past July.
Do I need HOA approval for a new landscape design?
Most Las Vegas Valley HOAs require plan approval before major landscape changes, especially in front yards. We design within common HOA plant lists and drainage rules so your submission goes smoothly.
How long does a full yard installation take?
It depends on yard size and scope, but most full front and backyard installs run from a couple weeks to a few weeks once design is approved. We'll give you a realistic timeline before work starts, not an optimistic guess.
Can a new landscape design lower my water use?
Yes. Replacing thirsty turf areas with water-wise plants and efficient drip irrigation is one of the biggest water-use changes a Las Vegas homeowner can make, and it can also qualify for SNWA water-smart landscape rebates.
