Backyard Putting Greens for Las Vegas Homes

Las Vegas is a golf town, from the courses lining Summerlin and Southern Highlands to the winter snowbirds who come here to play year-round. A backyard putting green fits how people actually live here: mild winters mean you can practice outside in January, and with SNWA's grass-watering restrictions tightening every year, a synthetic green gives you a real short game without adding a single gallon to your water bill.

Real grass greens are almost impossible to maintain at tournament quality in this climate, between the heat stress, alkaline soil, and water limits. Synthetic putting surfaces solve that: consistent roll, no watering, no mowing, and no summer die-off. We build greens with proper sub-base drainage so monsoon rain doesn't pool or wash out your green, and multiple cup placements so the green stays interesting instead of a flat strip of fake grass.

How It Works

From first call to final walkthrough

01

Design Green Contours

We design breaks, slopes, and cup placement based on your space and the level of challenge you want to practice.

02

Base & Sub-Surface Prep

Proper excavation and a compacted, well-drained sub-base keep the green true and prevent shifting or pooling after storms.

03

Synthetic Green Installation

Putting-specific turf is installed and seamed for a consistent, true roll across the whole surface.

04

Cup Placement & Speed Calibration

We set cups and dial in green speed so it plays close to a real course, not a flat backyard mat.

Built for real practice

True roll & contours

Custom breaks and speeds so practice at home actually translates to the course.

Bunkers & fringe optional

Add sand bunkers, chipping fringe, and multiple cups for a complete short-game setup.

Low maintenance

All the challenge of a real green with none of the mowing, watering, or reseeding.

Questions

Putting Greens FAQs

How much yard space do I need for a putting green?

There's no strict minimum. Even a modest side yard or corner of a backyard can hold a functional putting green; larger spaces allow for more breaks, multiple holes, and a chipping area.

Can a putting green handle Las Vegas summer heat?

Yes. Putting-green-specific synthetic turf is built to hold its shape and roll consistency through extreme heat, unlike natural grass greens that burn out or die back in a Las Vegas summer.

Does a backyard putting green need water?

No irrigation is needed to keep a synthetic green alive, which is a major advantage given SNWA's water restrictions. Occasional rinsing keeps it clean, but there's no watering schedule to maintain.

How realistic does the green roll feel compared to real grass?

Quality putting turf is engineered specifically to mimic true green speed and roll, and most golfers find it very close to a well-maintained natural green, without the seasonal inconsistency real grass has in this climate.
